1/30 Französische Artillerie 1792-1802 - Update

Hello,

here's a small update on my French Revolutionary Artillery.

Firstly, I've now painted four of the figures from the first set. I especially like the wooden shoes of the man covering his ears. I think it's going to be a nice, colorful bunch.

Secondly, I've tweaked the pose with the gun cleaning rod a bit. The cannon should be loaded by a Gunner 1st Class. Red wool epaulettes were introduced in 1791 as rank insignia for these Gunners 1st Class, so my gunner absolutely had to have these epaulettes. Also, the rod of the cleaning rod needs to be a bit longer than the barrel itself, that means the original is way too short. I just barely managed to do both of these things digitally with my limited skills. And to make my gunner stand out from his comrades and give the group a bit more of a mixed look, I added a large plume to his hat.

I really should get around to working on the cannon soon...

Best regards, Andreas
